It rather depends on the area of their business they want us to focus on: If there are relevant results in their country then Google will show the results for that country first. Strong international results can be mixed in though.
If the keyword relates to a UK location e.g. London hotel then Google will recognise this and serve up UK results even if the searcher is overseas.
So in short, the stronger your website is in the country of residence, the more chance of it showing in overseas results, depending on the local competition. No guarantees given and all our rankings are based on the principal Google location associated with the website.
It is not feasible to do individual campaigns for each country based on the same website, although there are exceptions to this, and our SEO team can be consulted for an authoritative answer to specific example.
